He joins TFE Hotels from Le Méridien Melbourne, where he led the successful pre-opening and brand relaunch in the Australian market. His previous roles include General Manager at Sheraton Melbourne Hotel, and senior leadership positions at The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa and Sheraton Resort & Spa Tokoriki Island in Fiji. Peter has also held senior positions with Marriott, Westin, and Sheraton properties across both Canada and Australia during his twenty-year career.

Lee Davey’s current role as State General Manager for EVT Hotels and Resorts, sees him lead nine hotels across Victoria, Tasmania and one hotel in New South Wales. Lee uses his extensive industry experience to guide the General Managers of these properties to deliver commercial success and operational excellence.
Lee is simultaneously General Manager of Rydges Melbourne, the flagship property for the Rydges brand across Australia and New Zealand.

During his 30 years in the hotel industry, Lee has held senior leadership roles across some of Australia’s leading hotel brands, including Rydges and QT Hotels & Resorts, Art Series Hotels, Sofitel Melbourne and Crown Towers. His experience includes roles in both clients facing and back of house operational roles, food and beverage and people and culture. His expertise spans revenue management, commercial strategy, and brand development.

Lee led the reopening of Rydges Melbourne in 2023, following a significant investment by EVT to create a flagship hotel for the Rydges brand during an 18-month renovation. Since re-opening the hotel, Lee has achieved strong commercial performance, created a focus on the guest experience and been recognised by the industry with multiple hotel awards.

Known for his hands-on, people-first leadership style, Lee has a strong focus on innovation, developing high-performing teams and finding new ways to maximise both the hotel performance and profitability, and the guest experience.
